Where do I start? I'll start at the end!! We had pizza for lunch in Poznan - it had brussel sprouts on it!!! As terrible as it sounds, it didn't taste bad - it was actually quite nice!! But I don't hate brussel sprouts with a vengence so that perhaps helps!!
Anyway, i'll go back to the start of the day!! Very very early start - mum woke before the alarm, so just before 5. Breakfast worse than yesterday - makes it easy to go hungry!!
Didn't take long to get to the border. Even though I knew we would be ok, I was still on the worried side! I think just the idea of border guards and passport control and guns scared me! But we were the only bus there, so it went quickly. They just grabbed our passports, let us off to go to the toilet etc while they did their stamping. Exchanged some money - works out that the aussie dollar is just under half the Polish money - i'm not too sure how to say it and am just saying - zezyl and grozyl for dollars and cents equivalent!
Harrowing frive to Poznan - they don't really have highways they say, but in saying that it looks as though we are on one now... But because there is/was no highways, the traffic just goes anywhere, moves from side to side on the road to let the fast ones through. Mum just sat back and shut her eyes tight! I'm sitting in the aisle, so can see out the front window.
Ahhh, we were just on a tollway, explains the highway aspect - I guess we are back to slow single carriageway again!!
So the harrowing trip, overtaking just happens anywhere and everywhere! Cars left right and centre. Overtaking on double white lines.
And the trucks, there is just sooooo many of them!!! Took a video of them - will have to count how many we passed in one minute. Maybe 60/70. A ridiculous amount!!
So anyway, that's our day so far. Its very cool - I'm in Poland... Wow!!!!!
It's very flat - not exceptionally pretty... It is ifferent to Germany though so that's nice!!!
